CDP is an international non-profit organisation responsible for managing the world’s largest self-reported environmental data system. CDP’s reporting, carried out through a single questionnaire, covers the topics of climate change, water security and forests, biodiversity and plastics.
The organisation aims to make the financial market aware of the risks and opportunities related to these topics. It also helps investors to assess the impacts of climate change on their portfolios more effectively, encouraging best practice.
The classification given to companies helps to assess their performance and commitment to the issues addressed, indicating the level of maturity of the organisation.

C: Awareness: there is an understanding of the significance of environmental problems. The organisation recognises the impacts and begins to take action.
