Our structured approach to governance and controls has generated positive impacts, evidenced by improved information compliance and more accurate business decisions, besides strengthening the Institution’s credibility—a central element for sustainability and stakeholder relations. In the context of internal and external relations, potential negative impacts include cases of moral and/or sexual harassment, racial discrimination, and homophobia and transphobia, which, if they materialize, can affect the work environment, relations between managers, employees, and customers, and the institution’s reputation, requiring continuous monitoring, effective whistleblowing channels, and consistent preventive measures. Negative impacts may stem from sanctions for non-compliance with industry regulations, with financial consequences of fines and potential reputational damage, as well as from cases of corruption, which weaken internal control and compliance systems and may compromise their credibility.
