{"id":6092,"date":"2024-07-30T15:33:09","date_gmt":"2024-07-30T18:33:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/banrisul.centralesg.com.br\/indicadores\/processo-para-determinar-os-topicos-materiais-2\/"},"modified":"2025-09-26T16:58:34","modified_gmt":"2025-09-26T19:58:34","slug":"processo-para-determinar-os-topicos-materiais-2","status":"publish","type":"indicador","link":"http:\/\/banrisul.centralesg.com.br\/en\/indicadores\/processo-para-determinar-os-topicos-materiais-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Process to determine material topics"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>3-1 a) Describe the process it has followed to determine its material topics, including:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3-1 a) <\/strong><strong>i) how it has identified actual and potential, negative and positive impacts on the economy, environment, and people, including impacts on their human rights, across its activities and business relationships;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2022, Banrisul conducted a complete materiality assessment to define its material topics, which encompassed peer benchmarking, as well as analysis of the Company\u2019s internal documents and industry literature, such as ESG ratings and standards. A list of material topics for the industry was prepared based thereon. This list was discussed with important stakeholders through interviews and, then it was prioritized through an online survey with larger stakeholder group. Results were assessed using a methodology that weighted the answers according to each stakeholder group. The results of the online survey were consolidated to the topics\u2019 impact study to prepare the final list of material topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3-1 a) ii) how it has prioritized the impacts for reporting based on their significance.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on the analysis of internal risk documents, possible impacts related to each topic were identified and duly classified as regards their nature and then added to the consolidated materiality results. As a result, the final list of topics was defined based on the impacts of the topics in question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3-1 b) Specify the stakeholders and experts whose views have informed the process of determining its material topics.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Representatives of the following groups took part in the consultations to define materiality:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Employees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shareholders\/investors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Capital markets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Suppliers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Government<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Non-profit organizations and\/or social institutions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Union<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Board of Executive Officers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Board of Directors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Social, Environmental and Climate Responsibility Committee<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sustainability department, the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Executive Officers approved the final material topics.
