{"id":5114,"date":"2023-11-08T17:06:52","date_gmt":"2023-11-08T20:06:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/banrisul.centralesg.com.br\/indicadores\/process-to-define-material-topics\/"},"modified":"2024-11-11T12:06:30","modified_gmt":"2024-11-11T15:06:30","slug":"process-to-define-material-topics","status":"publish","type":"indicador","link":"http:\/\/banrisul.centralesg.com.br\/en\/indicadores\/process-to-define-material-topics\/","title":{"rendered":"Process to define material topics"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>&nbsp;In 2022, Banrisul conducted a complete materiality assessment to define its material topics, which encompassed peer benchmarking, as well as analysis of the Company\u2019s internal documents and industry literature, such as ESG ratings and standards. A list of material topics for the industry was prepared based thereon. This list was discussed and validated with important stakeholders through interviews (the CEO, Sustainability Corporate Department and Executive Board) and, then it was prioritized through an online survey with a larger stakeholder group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, based on the analysis of internal risk documents, the Company assessed possible impacts related to each topic, which were duly classified as regards their nature and then added to the consolidated materiality results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Results were assessed using a methodology that weighted the answers according to each stakeholder group. The results of the online survey were consolidated to the topics\u2019 impact study to prepare the final list of material topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of 1,315 people from the following stakeholder groups participated in the online survey:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Employees;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shareholders\/investors (priority);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shareholders\/investors (diversified);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Capital markets;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Main suppliers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Government;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Representatives of non-profit organizations and\/or social institutions;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Specialized media outlets;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Union representatives;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Executive Officers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Board of Directors members;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sustainability Committee members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Prioritization and final approval:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sustainability Corporate Department, CEO and Administrative Executive Board.
